Coach and Team Registration Access
A coach bringing fifteen students shouldn't fill out fifteen separate registrations from fifteen parent accounts. Coach access turns team registration into one sitting: one account, all athletes, one checkout.
Becoming a coach
On the registration page, the role cards include Coach. Selecting it switches the flow into coach mode and asks for coach details — contact info and club affiliation. Coaches can also be invited by email by the tournament director. Like all non-athlete roles, coach membership in a tournament is subject to director approval.
The dojo roster
Coaches manage their team from My Dojo in their account. If no dojo exists yet, Create My Dojo sets one up with the club's name, city and state, address, and website. The dojo holds a roster of athlete profiles — each student's name, date of birth, belt rank, and weight — entered once and reused for every tournament the team enters.
Build the roster before registration opens. With profiles in place, registering for the next tournament is picking names and events, not re-typing fifteen birthdates against a deadline.
Registering a team

1Open the tournament's registration page while signed in as a coach Coach mode is detected automatically and the flow switches from single-competitor to team registration.

2Select athletes and their events Pick each competing student from the roster (or add a new profile inline) and choose their events individually — one student can do kata only, another kata and kumite.

3Review the cart and check out The cart lists every athlete with their events and prices, with a combined total. One payment covers the whole team; each athlete still becomes their own registration.
Contact for the entries runs through the coach, so tournament communication reaches the person actually bringing the team. Coaches can correct athlete details up until the registration is approved.
What the director sees
Each athlete arrives as an individual registration — approvals, credits, division assignment, and brackets all work per competitor, exactly as with self-registrations (one credit per approved athlete, from the director's balance as always). The team's shared club name is what drives dojo separation when brackets are seeded.
